How to join a Sons of the Forest server

You can connect to your Sons of the Forest server either by finding it in the in-game server list or by entering the server address directly. Your server's IP and port are shown on the AxentHost panel.

Find your server address

On your server's "manage" page in the AxentHost panel, you'll see the IP address and port. For direct connect, use the full address in the form IP:Port (for example myserver.axenthost.me:8766). Make sure the server is running before you try to join.

Join your server

Using the server list

1. Launch Sons of the Forest.
2. Open Multiplayer and click Join to open the server list.
3. Open Options and set Source to Dedicated so dedicated servers appear.
4. Use the filter and type your server name to find your server.
5. Select your server in the list and click Join.

Using direct connect

1. Launch Sons of the Forest.
2. Open Multiplayer and click Join to open the server list.
3. At the bottom of the screen, choose Direct.
4. Enter the full server address from your "manage" page (IP and port, e.g. IP:Port).
5. Click Connect to join the server.

Once connected, you can play on your Sons of the Forest server with your friends.
