How to join a Risk of Rain 2 server

You can connect to your Risk of Rain 2 server in two ways: by finding it in the in-game server list or by using the developer console with your server's IP and port. Your server address is shown on the AxentHost panel.

Find your server address

On your server's "manage" page in the AxentHost panel, you'll see the IP address and port. You need both for the console method; for the server list you can find your server by name. Ensure the server is running before you try to join.

Join your server

Using the in-game server list

1. Launch Risk of Rain 2 and click Multiplayer.
2. Click Join Multiplayer Game.
3. Set the Sorting dropdown to Name to make your server easier to find.
4. Locate your server in the list and click it.
5. If the server has a password, enter it when prompted, then click Join Server.

Using the developer console

1. Launch Risk of Rain 2.
2. Press Ctrl + Alt + ` (tilde) to open the developer console.
3. Type connect followed by your server address in the form IP:Port (for example myserver.axenthost.me:45560 from your "manage" page), then press Enter to connect.
4. If your server uses a password, type cl_password followed by the password and press Enter.

Once connected, you can play on your Risk of Rain 2 server with your friends.
